Using a ticket system to diagnose and remedy issues across campus. From imaging devices via PXE boot to the all-too common "did you try a reboot?" 🤣.
Helped provide maintenance & updates to the audio equipment throughout the Houston Airports. You know the intercoms that flight staff use when announcing to board the plane? We did maintenance on those intercoms, the back-end servers, and the speakers they're connected to.
Worked with Ford AV on a temporary construction project in IAH to install audio speakers in the TSA checkpoint, including splicing and routing cables throught the building and constructing the frame to mount speakers along the wall.
I teach STEM topics technology to kids eager to learn on Saturdays. The curriculum is extensive, covering programming, circuitry design, and even aerodynamics (making a plane!). We also helped a few students obtain their CompTIA A+ Certifications to get them started in the tech field.
Equipped with the skills necessary to save a life. During my time on watch, safety was paramount. Taught me the values of vigilance and patience, even under mundane and repetitive conditions.
High-paced environments where I processed over 1,000 customers a day.
Nowadays, I am in charge of the Audio, the Visuals/media team, and the live-stream team. Every wednesday I'm basically on my own doing the jobs of 3-4 people, and organizing the workflow/procedures for the other volunteers when I'm not around. It's a lot to manage, but I try to streamline the process as much as possible! In the past, nearly every Sunday, I served as a guitarist for the FOP Youth Praise Team, and occasionally the bassist/pianist for the main service. Beyond music and tech, I frequently assist with events, charities, and other various ministries.
"It's a great feeling to know at the end of the day, someone's life is better because of the work you've did."
